I feel grateful and privileged to be able to call counseling my calling in life. I didn’t realize I wanted to be a therapist until I sought therapy out for myself in a time of hurt and need. After learning and growing through my own experience of therapy, I changed my life trajectory and pivoted substantially to be in alignment with being able to serve others as a therapist.
I draw heavily from a narrative framework in my therapy practice, often using metaphor and other stylistic language to externalize and conjure up new ways of looking at hardships, strengths, and forks in the road. I enjoy therapeutic work focusing on self-esteem and identity, grief, depression, anxiety, and relational issues in couple’s therapy.
One of the hardest things in life is to acknowledge that you aren’t who you want to be yet, and that it takes work to get there. I am here to help you do that work.
Education
I obtained my Master of Arts in Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Seattle University, and my Bachelor of Arts degree from Washington State University in Psychology, having also minored in Human Development.
